Cookies
Last updated 18 August 2026. This page explains what cookies are on catalogvectorgrid.digital, which ones we use, and how to refuse the optional kind.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device so it can remember a fact between visits — a language, a login, or, in our case, whether you accepted optional measurement. Local storage is a similar mechanism; our consent choice uses local storage under a brand-prefixed key rather than a classic cookie header, and we treat it with the same respect.
Types we use
Essential. The consent record itself. Without it the banner would ask on every page load. It does not profile you. It only stores Accept or Reject.
Analytics (optional). If you Accept, we may set a first-party measurement cookie so we can see which essays and course pages are read, in aggregate. If you Reject, those cookies are not set. Rejecting does not block reading, navigation, or the contact form.
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run a retargeting pixel on this studio site.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| catalogvectorgrid_cookie_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies so the banner can stay dismissed. | 12 months (local storage) | Catalogvectorgrid (first party) |
| cvg_studio_read | Optional aggregate read-count for pages. Set only after Accept. Helps us see which journal essays are used. | 6 months | Catalogvectorgrid (first party) |
| fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com | May set third-party cookies or cache tokens when loading Cinzel, Cormorant Garamond, and EB Garamond. Used to render type, not to sell ads for us. | Determined by Google Fonts | Google Fonts (third party) |
Third-party cookies
Type is served from Google Fonts. Images may be requested from Unsplash’s content network. Those parties have their own notices. We do not control cookies they may set independently of our banner. Embedded maps or video players are not used on this site, so we do not load those extra third parties.
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. Both are always visible; rejecting is not hidden behind extra clicks. You can also clear site data for catalogvectorgrid.digital in your browser settings, which forgets the stored choice and will show the banner again. Browser controls can block cookies globally; if you block all storage, the banner may reappear and the optional analytics cookie will not run.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting optional cookies does not remove course pages, fees, or the form. You might see the banner again after clearing storage. Font fallbacks still work if a font request is blocked, though the layout will be less refined. Blocking images from Unsplash will leave empty frames where photographs should be; the text remains readable.
